The AITO Career Cluster Model groups occupations into six clusters, each containing defined pathways and the specialisms within them. It is the framework that decides how a skill is assessed and where a credential sits.

The Six Clusters
Each cluster gathers the pathways that share a body of underlying competence, so a candidate can move between related occupations without starting again. Selecting a programme from the catalogue places a student within one of these clusters.
